I hesitated for some time before typing this post, but there is something that i absolutely need to say. I'm not even sure if the people concerned are reading this, but it doesn't matter. Someone will be reading, and at least someone will know. Your attitude that day was appalling. I know about the misguided conceptions many people have about MI, but it doesn't matter. I always swore to myself that i will prove everybody wrong. But that does NOT mean that you can insult my school right in my face, and expect me to keep quiet. Oh yes, i simply smiled, but that was only because i didn't want to kick up a big fuss in front of everybody. I wanted to save your face. Now come to think of it, i probably didn't have much occasion to do that. Since you don't seem to respect me, i don't think why i should respect you too. But i still did. I don't care what everybody thinks about MI. You can think that we're a 2nd Class JC, a Polytechnic; heck, you can even think that we're an ITE. But at the end of the day, MI is what it is to me. And by the way, many people, including myself, went into MI despite qualifying for JCs. Why? Some of us wanted a Dual-Track Programme, some of us wanted a 3-year course, some wanted to enrol in the Commerce course. There are various reasons. But the fact remains that MI does not only admit 'people with a low level of interest' in their studies, as you put it. You may have said that you were joking, but these are not jokes. These are stabbing insults. And if you think that we're all having a super relaxed life in MI, you better think again. True, it is a 3-year course that we're taking. But have you ever wondered why you seem to be online more often that i am? Knowing that we take a 3-year course, MI gives us many extra activites to plan and coordinate. MI Carnival has barely been over, and we've only relaxed for less than a week when the responsibilites of MI Mart were dumped on us. Do you have any idea how difficult it is to plan and set up a business in the real world? Some people, like Yu Ting and Jamie, are even using their family holidays to scout for products that we can sell. Worse still, we're not even Commerce stream students. And we have to prepare for our exams at the same time. I reiterate : I will not tolerate any more of this nonsense; from you or from other people. Don't expect me to be so kind in the future. if you think this post is full of spite, then go ahead and dislike me. I'm starting to get used to MI already, and nothing anybody says will change my mind. I have grown to love this school despite my initial resistance to it. I have great classmates and friends, dedicated teachers and everything that a person can ask for. I'm satisfied. You can go ahead and have fun in your misguided superiority. But pride always comes before a fall.
