Well, today barely started when we heard our teachers lamenting about how badly we did for Promo 2. Inevitably, this led to the subject of promotion. We're all so freaking scared right now, i completely don't want to go to school next tuesday -.- And what's worse, the teachers keep dropping you huge hints and painting absolutely awful scenarios in front of you, while nothing is definite yet. Sigh. Life sucks in general. Okay, i'll move on to lighter subjects right now, if not i'll prolly start crying even before assembly starts next Tuesday -.- Oh, long post ahead.

Yesterday, we had our second day of Post-Promo Activities. First, we had CPR training, which was mostly hilariously funny because of the presenter's awful English. Hello? Who pronounces 'compression' as 'compassion'? It's like Ris Low No. 2, lol, except maybe a lot worse. I don't know where Peyton's memorable picture of me giving mouth-to-mouth to a dummy is, heheh. After it ended, we went down for break with instructions to gather at the foyer for OCS visit at 12.30 sharp. (Yay! Been looking forward to this! (:)

Went to gather at the stadium steps, while we saw the OCs standing there. SOMEBODY got all excited and everything, hahaha. Waited for eons for the silly bus to come, and then we finally boarded. On the way, our guides, John and Gerald was telling us stuff about the OCS while we interrupted and sang Shawn a birthday song! Haha, awww, he was so touched. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY SHAWN! (: Ahaha, reached the OCS after a surprisingly short time.

First, we went to the Cadet's dining area because we couldn't enter the auditorium, NUS High and ACJC were there as well. Finally entered the auditorium for a short presentation and stuff, but sorry, i really cannot remember the sequence by which we were brought about the OCS, it was mostly so chaotic.

Went to the multi-purpose hall (My gosh, i thought only MI called the hall by such a long-winded name! Haha), where we were introduced to some weapons, cameo cream, and close combat training. We mostly let the guys try out the weapons though (: The rest were putting cameo cream all over their faces, and i'm sorry, but i treasure my skin a lot, and even though they were saying the stuff is good for your skin, it's still made of vegetable oil after all, so i just put some on my hands and wiped it off. Haha! Memorable quote, 'You wanna have a look at my guns?'. Some cheeky OC was saying that to me and Cheryl Lim, and we were like -.- I'm sure you know what that means, especially the people taking Literature Paper 5. Heheh.

I think we went to for some demonstration afterwards, of how the OCs will be able to get out of their bunks in full battle gear within 7 minutes. But we were all arguing with the commander, about how they were just standing in the corridors all ready and prepared. Haha. Really what! Who changes into full battle gear in 2 minutes? Went to tour the bunks afterwards, but we were all pretty much more interested in the pictures of their girlfriends the OCs stuck up on the walls, like a bunch of nosy aunties. Had a freaky encounter in the corridors with some random OC, don't wanna reiterate -.- After this definitely was the combat rations tasting, but i knew the taste already, heheh.

Ah! We went for Interaction sessions at the Cadet's Mess, and that was where we all got to feast our eyes (: Mainly the girls. And Peyton got a lucky encounter, didn't you, Peyton? Haha. Some sign-on OC and John's commander came to talk to us! Haha, we really didn't say anything about John to his commander, although he keeps insisting that we did. All his commander told us was that John always gets scolded? Lol. And people kept persuading us to sign-on. After this, we were introduced to some night-sight weapons, which i mostly just switched off throughout. Oh, OCs are scary because they listen in to your conversations when you least expect it! -.-

Went to the parade square afterwards, where we took many many many pictures, and then it was on to the live firing range. I mostly let others have the chance, because i was getting tired and not to mention feeling damn sweaty. Haha, Ms Chin kept talking on the phone, tsk tsk. Then we went to the multi-purpose hall to do evaluation and rest. Wasn't it mentioned that the surveys are PRIVATE and CONFIDENTIAL? But John was looking at all our responses. I had this brief conversation with him.

John: Eh, whose is this ah? *holds up my survey*
Me: Mine. Why?
John: You'll leave Singapore immediately if there is a war?
Me: NOOOO!!! I misread the question the first time, and so i altered it lah. I love Singapore!( I actually put strongly agree, then when i realised my mistake, i crossed it out and put strongly disagree. John was grumbling about the fact that i cancelled it out. What???)
John: Yeah right. You all are such good citizens you know! We work so hard to protect you girls....blahblahblah....

And he refused to listen to my explanations! -.- Gerald was right, he really does have a lot of angst inside him! Lol!

After this, it was time to leave. John and Gerald brought us to our bus, shook our hands and waved goodbye. Awww, so cute, they were actually sad to see us leave! See, we may be noisy, but we're all pretty lovable, especially for a bunch of guys always locked up in the camp. Or maybe it's just because they're envious of us, that we can just get back to civilian life (: We were just waving to random people in the OCS on our way out, haha. Pretty much conked out on the bus, while wondering how the rest can still have so much energy. Oh, we were supposed to leave at 4.30, but we ended up leaving at around 6.15!

Boarded 66 with Jamie, much discussion on you-know-who, and then home for me! (:
